Reservoir Dogs

Filmed independently by Quentin Tarantino with a very limited release, this debut cult hit crime film put a wholly original spin of the heist concept. Rather than focusing on the heist itself, it chose to focus on the aftermath and growing drama between the criminal group when presented with the very object of their greed, building up to a brutal climax. Violent, explicit, and still controversial, Reservoir Dogs set new boundaries for it's raw, in-your-face view of the criminal underground (but with trademark Tarantino humor in full attendance) and set new precedents in independent filmmaking for the innovative techniques used to bring it to life.
